How can I start selling my photography in art galleries and internet?

Hi, how can I start selling my photography in art galleries and in the internet?

Online – your own web site, stock sites, personal porfolio sites such as red-bubble etc – it depends on what the shots are off.

Galleries – you need to approach galleries and see if they are interested in exhibiting your work.
you will normally have to pay for the space and pay the gallery a percentage.

  2. There is a site I just discovered called artfire….you can post some free, a small monthly fee to post a lot.

Google online consignment art galleries and you should find some.

I don't know about regular art galleries.

  3. gallery exhibitions are all about being an 'insider' and an 'activist' in the art world. some of the worlds best photogs will never have their work displayed in galleries because they dont spend the time and effort and money to market themselves in those venues

internet marketing is not much better. its all about volume sales because you will almost never make that one big score and if you do you will still barely recoup your costs. if your work is up to that level try sites like istock.
